Other than the SIA ACS scheme, what standards are adhered to?
Our security guards are licensed with the SIA, vetted to British Standard BS 7858 and checked against the DBS database.
Our security guards operate under BS 7499 which is specific to security guards.
What paperwork is required to support a guard service on site?
Every security assignment operates to a set of site specific procedures and protocols called ‘Assignment Instructions’. Available in hard copy format or electronically, every task and responsibility is mapped out within a safe system of work, ensuring that all tasks and services are delivered consistently and in full compliance with all applicable legislation and industry codes of conduct. We take full responsibility for creating each set of Assignment Instructions at the start of each assignment.
How are security services managed?
Our mobile supervisors complete regular unannounced site visits to check on welfare, appearance and understanding of site and duties. These visits are used to deliver toolbox talks, mentoring and training to mitigate the risk of skills fade.
What insurance requirements are there for my vacant property?
Unoccupied property insurance is normally required for any property that is empty for longer than 30 days. The period varies from insurer to insurer, and some allow up to 60 days. If it’s going to be empty for longer then you will be expected to complete some or all of the following based on property size, value and use – water drain down, letterbox seal, remove combustibles, install temporary alarm and sensors, install water/leak detection sensors, completion of weekly property inspections, install temporary CCTV systems, prevent access to land with fencing or concrete barriers. Whatever you need, we will manage the solution for you to evidence insurance compliance and give you peace of mind.
What happens if my system has a fault?
All of our systems ‘poll’ continuously with out central system to confirm full functionality – In simple terms each component sends a confirmation message every 15 seconds to confirm everything is OK – Potential issues are identified at the earliest opportunity via this mechanism and assigned to our technical helpdesk team for remote fault review and resolution. Where a remote fix cannot be obtained, you will be notified with a scheduled time/date for an engineering visit. Planned and reactive maintenance are inclusive cost elements within every solution.
